Creating architectural masterpieces through passion
The hostess is responsible for creating an exceptional holiday feeling.
As the child of a hotelier family, Sabine Horlacher grew up surrounded by hospitality – with the desire to create places where people can truly arrive. From this upbringing, a large dose of courage and a willingness to take risks, and a deep love for Ofterschwang, Talgut was born: a workshop for holidaymakers, architecture, and human well-being.
Sabine embodies two seemingly contradictory sides: a love of freedom, a thirst for adventure, and a strong will on the one hand, and a sense of security and reliability for the people around her on the other. She rescues old houses, reimagines spaces, and, if necessary, even communicates with woodworms – the main thing is that, in the end, she creates masterpieces with soul.
With her inexhaustible creative drive, her joy in design and detail, and a keen eye for quality, she shapes every room, every lodge, and every crossroads in the 8,000 m² natural garden for a maximum of 20 guests. For Sabine, the Talgut is her personal masterpiece – and for the guests, a home away from home with plenty of space for their own stories.
Antonia Horlacher
Visionary entrepreneur & hostess of the new generation
Antonia Horlacher carries the Allgäu region in her heart – and the Talgut in her life. After graduating from high school and completing a thorough apprenticeship as a hotel specialist, including a stint at a leading five-star superior hotel, she consciously returned to her beloved home. Today, together with Sabine, she shapes the daily operations of the Talgut, handling everything from organization and guest services to the ongoing development of the hotel.
Antonia combines natural charm with entrepreneurial acumen. She embraces change – from pandemic-related challenges to new travel habits – to ensure the continued success of the Talgut estate.
With ease, clarity and great empathy for the needs of the guests, she creates wonderful moments every day and maintains the courage to continue taking unconventional paths.
For Sabine, it is "the greatest happiness on earth" to have her daughter as a strong second hostess at her side – noticeable to the guests in a warm, uncomplicated and at the same time very professional atmosphere.
